Called "one of San Francisco's best-kept musical secrets" by The Line of Best Fit and named one of the Bay Area musicians to watch in 2018 by KQED, Rose Droll's special one-of-a-kind record, one that refuses to be played in the background, will be released on 11/16 via Father/Daughter and Double Denim. From the jarring "ahhs" of "Outside Looking In" to the prolonged closing cello sounds on the title track, Your Dog will linger in your brain for days and weeks to come, giving you a rare glimpse into the life of one of the most stunning new talents around.
People of the Dawn is the debut album from Spencer Zahn, bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. He has spent the last several years as an in-demand sideman and collaborator, touring and recording with artists from across a wide musical spectrum. While traveling as a bassist and keyboard player, Zahn started recording synthesizer experiments in his off time. These experiments - musical snapshots of cities all over the world - became the foundation of People of the Dawn, an album that seeks to merge the chaotic wisdom of jazz improvisation with the warm pulse of electronica.
